British Art Fair returns to traditional timeslot for 2020 plus plans for Draw and Fair for Saatchi

It took place in early October this year, coinciding with Frieze Week, but the next spot in the calendar offered no clear advantage.
“I love being at Frieze Week and we did a cross-promotion with it for our visitors to go to both fairs,” said fair director Robert Sandelson. “But BAF did as well as it always has – there was no advantage to the later date.”
It runs from September 24-27, 2020, at the Saatchi Gallery.
Draw opens for submissions
Exhibitor applications have opened for Draw Art Fair, which returns in May after Sandelson’s acquisition of the event this September. He told ATG that submissions are already flowing in.
The fair launched earlier this year and focuses on Modern and Contemporary drawings.
It also takes place at the Chelsea institution. It runs from May 14-17, 2020.
FFS
Finally, a new name is in the works for Sandelson’s third event, Fair for Saatchi (FFS), which had its inaugural run in June. The change was requested by the gallery’s board after a member discovered a second meaning for the acronym.
